CRAIG HOUSE
Stage: Feasibility Study Cgi: Lbmvarchitects
The Craig House is a feasibility study for a new build situated on a vast site surrounded by a nature. The design is rooted in the concept of an open plan that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding nature. Each area of the house is designed to be separated and completely open to the outdoors, creating a sequence of independent internal spaces. These spaces are functionally distinct yet each offers an unobstructed view of the external environment, ensuring privacy without sacrificing connection to the natural surroundings.
Architecturally, the Craig House draws inspiration from classical modernist principles. It employs a volumetric composition and utilizes architectural archetypes such as roof lines, floor slabs, and walls to express its design ethos. This approach creates a harmonious blend of modernist aesthetics and natural beauty, making the Craig House a unique and innovative addition to the landscape.
